Well, it seems the Serpents don't give a damn if Archie is a member as Hakeem or whatever his name is told the local leader that Archie isn't a real member. What a dick? Seeing as Archie has no protection the Ghoulies take a shot at him. Archie asks his roommates advice on what to do and Maddog tells him to be an animal. I think Mad Dog is setting Archie up to replace him as the Prison Enforcer.
